My Voice Experience

Stage actor, vocalist, and a number of years associated with Radio and Television Broadcasting. I've served as Production Manager, Creative Consultant, Chief Copywriter and "First Choice Producer" at several radio and television stations across North Louisiana as well as ad agencies country wide.

My Training

I will complete a Master of Science in Enterprise Information Technology at Capella Univisity, Minneapolis MN, this fall. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Technology (BSMIT) and; Associate of Arts Broadcasting (AAB) University of Louisiana, Monroe.

I cut my vocal chops in the bass section of several choirs in "earlier" music studies; stage plays and hours in a production room at several radio stations. I learned how to make multi-track productions using two full track mono Ampex tape recorders, two turntables, three broadcast cart machines, grease pencil, and spicing block and tape. I developed my own sound effects in many cases and have even composed some custom music.

Presently, I take full advantage of all the digital processing power that COOL Edit Pro 2.0 affords a true voice over/production artist. I utilize the latest electronics for processing (or not, if you like) and have a select few vintage outboard processors available for those "special" needs.

My Studio Equipment

Behringer UB1204 mixer; Behringer AutoCom Pro XL MDX 1600; Aphex 104 Type C; Audio Logic MT44 Gates; Marshall MXL 2001 mics; JBL 4401 monitors; Gemsound XP350 monitor amp. I have two other ancient outboard delay pieces: Delta Lab Effectron II ADM 1024 delay and an honest-to-gosh DOD R-845 spring reverb unit!

My e-Machine w2040 computer runs Cool Edit Pro 2.0 through a Creative Labs SoundBlaster 24 bit/96khz Audigy SE. AMD Athlon 1.8 ghz CPU, 1gb RAM, 40gb/8mb/7200rpm Western Digital HD, with a companion WD 40gb/2mb HD for storage. I have a Tascam 32 quarter-inch half-track open reel and Denon DRW 750 double cassette deck for "unusual" needs. AC is filtered through a Phonic PPC 8000 Power conditioner.

Before the end of 2008 I will: add UPS for additional AC power filtering and backup; change to Behringer XR4400 Pro Quad Noise Gates and Behringer SX3040 Sonic Enhancer. A new computer with little faster AMD CPU, larger RAM, about the same size HD with larger cache and a different brand of sound card will be in the studio sometime in May this year. I've not decided if I'll change to Adobe Audition software or some other audio editing app yet, though.

What else can I tell you? Drop me an e-mail and we'll discuss it! Thanks!
